Fans are expected to be glued to their TV screens as Lesego Marakalla, affectionately known as Rachel Kunutu, the original slay queen of Turfloop, together with her controversial hubby Marothi Maphuthuma, played by Macks Papo, are set to be back on the popular SABC 1’s Skeem Saam from June 2025.

The dramatic Marakalla reprises her iconic role after a four-year interlude. Marakalla is thrilled to revive her character due to popular demands from her fans.

During her interview with Independent Online (IOL), Marakalla expressed her excitement about her return, appreciating the mega love and support she attains from her fans. Given Rachel’s reputation for causing trouble, viewers can expect an exciting journey.

“It’s great to be back; my supporters have been asking for my return, and I’m excited to bring Rachel back to life on screen”, she said.

Viewers will discover she’s been hanging out with the wrong crowd, including ‘Ghost’, a new shady character played by Tshepo Howza Mosese, and ‘Lord of the Flies’, portrayed by Archie Nhlapo.

Meanwhile, Marothi Maphuthuma, Rachel’s estranged husband and a successful entrepreneur, is on a mission to find her, adding more fuel to the drama fire.

The plot thickens as Rachel’s storyline unfolds! Macks Senatla SaGa PAPO is set to return to screens on June 13, 2025, with a slight name alteration for cultural and traditional purposes.

“I’m thrilled to be back and share more captivating stories,” he expressed.

Now that his “Dynamite” is back, fans are curious about Marothi’s next moves.
